FUNERAL NOTICE:

It is with much sadness that we inform you of the passing of Janice Randi Spinner (AH), beloved wife of Howard Spinner and beloved mother of Danielle, Ryan (Michelle) and Andrew (Nicole).

The family received friends at Janisse Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Avenue, Windsor, ON. N9A 4K1 on Sunday, December 17th, 2023 at 12:00 pm, until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm.

Interment followed at the Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 2650 Pillette Road, Windsor, ON. N8T 1R1.

Rabbi Sholom Galperin officiated.

OBITUARY:

Janice Randi Spinner (AH)
May 1, 1953 – December 15, 2023

Peacefully passed away on December 15, 2023 at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Howard for 47 years and loving mother to Danielle, Ryan (Michelle) and Andrew (Nicole). Cherished Bubbie (grandmother) to Emma, Theo, Brody, Mikey and Chloe. Predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Norman Slopen and sister, Dale Biderman.

Janice taught as an early childhood educator at Eastwood / Eastview Horizon Public Schools. Her passion was the education of her students. It was important to Janice to make every lesson a learning experience for them no matter what their learning capability.

A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Hôtel-Dieu’s Ouellette Campus ICU and 8th floor and the Palliative Care Unit – 3rd floor on Prince Road. We are grateful for all of your compassion and for providing exceptional care.

Janice was deeply loved and will be missed forever.

Following the funeral service, interment will be at the Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 2650 Pillette Road, Windsor, ON. N8T 1R1 with Rabbi Sholom Galperin officiating.

Following the burial, family and friends are invited back to their home at 1145 Beals Street, Windsor, ON. N9E 4B7 for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
