A graveside funeral service was held on Monday, November 7th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 2650 Pillette Road, Windsor, Ontario.
OBITUARY:
SCHEN, Gerald Ronald 27-Sep-1944 – 05-Nov-2022
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved husband of 51 years, Jerry on November 5, 2022 at the age of 78. Loving husband of Irene (Kubicki), proud father of Theo and wife Raluca, and adoring grandfather of Peter and David. Predeceased by parents Herman and Hermine Schen, dear brother Dr. Sanford (2021) and sister-in-law Jacquie (2022). Survived by brother-in-law Victor Kubicki (Grace) and family scattered across the US.. Jerry had 5 wonderful nieces and nephews and 9 great-nieces and nephews. He retired as principal of Harrow H.S. where he enjoyed most of his teaching career. Jerry was a basketball player of some note in his younger years. He enjoyed travelling especially to Greece; wintering in Florida; golf, mainly for the camaraderie. Jerry was always excited to see family, and so appreciated visits from good and devoted friends. Graveside funeral was held November 7. We are grateful to Rabbi Sholom Galperin and David Lazarus for their kind assistance.
